Starting with January 2023, the average gross salary used to base the state social insurance budget is 7,567 lei. The normative act underlying this amendment is Law no. 422/2023 of the state social insurance budget for 2024, effective from January 01, 2024 and published in the Official Gazette, Part I no. 1188 of 29 December 2023.

Thus, according to the low, in 2024, the average gross salary used to base the state social insurance budget is 7,567 lei.

The amount of the death benefit is determined, according to the law, in the case of:

a) to the insured or pensioner, at 7,567 lei;

b) to a family member of the insured or pensioner, at 3,784 lei.
