The end of the year, marked by the winter holidays, is an occasion for organizations to show their appreciation for the employee results of the year and give them bonuses and rewards. One of the two companies choose to give gifts to employees’ children, amounting to 150 lei, free tax amount.
The gifts offered for the employees’ children, for Christmas, which do not exceed 150 lei, are not included in salary incomes and are free of taxes, according to Smartree, payroll and personnel administration outsourcing company.

Christmas party, replaced with presents
Also the Christmas parties are a way of rewarding employees for good results over the year, but lately, some companies have dropped to such events, preferring to focus their budgets on gifts.
“The economic crisis has significantly reduced the number of companies that offer advantages beside salary, but they still occupy an important place to motivate employees. Therefore, companies are always looking for the best options to identify the right benefits. This year has seen a trend to quit organizing Christmas parties, but the gifts for children still remained a priority”, said Laura Gheara.
