Autumn comes with benefits for employers

The employers will benefit from a number of facilities after October 22, 2013, when Law 250/2013 will take effect. The updates of unemployment insurance legislation stipulate that employing companies can benefit from exemption from the contribution due to budget.

The exemptions shall be for a period of 12 months and apply to companies who employ, for an indefinite period of contract, graduates of educational institutions. For each graduate hired these represents:

  • the amount equal to the reference social indicator effectual on the date of employment for graduates of lower secondary schools or schools of arts and crafts;
  • the amount equal to 1.2 times the reference social indicator effectual at the date of employment for graduates of upper secondary or post-secondary education;
  • the amount equal to 1.5 times the reference social indicator effectual at the date of employment for graduates of higher education.

The insertion employers – who hire young people at risk of social marginalization – will benefit monthly for each youth employment contract, an amount similar to the base salary established on employment until the expiry of the contract of solidarity. This amount cannot exceed two times the reference social indicator.

Companies wishing to become employers of insertion have been previously approved by the National Agency / County for Employment. Young people aged between 16 and 25 years old at risk of professional exclusion conclude contracts of solidarity with the placement agency that intermediate the distribution to diverse employers.

Under the new rules, employers benefit from this facility only if they meet certain conditions:

  • the employment is performed under a labor contract for a definite period, until the expiration of the contract of solidarity or individual employment contract for an indefinite period;
  • the job framed for the young man is one vacant, previously communicated to the territorial employment agency other conditions stipulated by legislation to grant this amount.

If the employer maintains employment insertion’s relationship with the young at the expiration date of the contract of solidarity, then he will receive, monthly, from the unemployment insurance fund, a sum amounting to 50 % of young unemployment benefit that would be received if the relations work should be stopped at that time. The maximum grant this benefit is 2 years, according to the same law 250/2013.
