The data inconsistency from the resume, the email addresses with inappropriate words and the misspellings are things that can eliminate from the outset the candidates’ chances of reaching the interview, the “litmus test” for most young people in search of for a job.
“The resume is the business card and must be made as clear and consistent and to contain real information. Among the mistakes commonly found in young people’s CVs are the data inconsistency, as mistakes on the years or periods in which they worked“, says Raluca Penes, HR Coordinator in the company of outsourcing HR services Smartree Romania.
Also, the email addresses containing obscenities are some mistakes commonly encountered by recruiters. Such email addresses do not show professionalism and often can not provide seriousness from candidates.
“Our advice is to create special addresses for the resume that contain the name of the candidate and also they should be careful with spelling mistakes“, says Raluca Penes.
Regarding the interview, the recruiters point to the fact that the preparation before the interview is a factor influencing the decision to get to the next level. Also, the candidate must check that the position and the job responsibilities are matched in terms of previous experience.
