In October, the state of the economy grew by approximately 3% compared to the same period last year. Salaries slightly increased by 1.5%, and the number of employees rose by nearly 5% compared to the same period in 2019. Most of the hiring occurred in the retail industry, online food delivery, and courier services, where the demand for staff increased by as much as 40-45% compared to October 2019.
The indicator reflecting employee well-being continued to decline this month, with an average drop of -19% compared to October 2019. This downward trend was caused by both a reduction in employee benefits, down by 16%, and fewer vacation days taken, which decreased by an average of 23% compared to the same period last year.
