Smart Update – a new category of employees who cannot be required to work at night

On June 3, 2024, Law no. 161/2024 came into effect, amending Article 128, paragraph (2) of Law no. 53/2003 – the Labor Code. This law, published in the Official Gazette, Part I, no. 507 of May 31, 2024, extends the list of persons who cannot be obliged to perform night work, including single persons from single-parent families.
