On July 21, 2019, new measures came into effect with applicability in the construction sector.
The main provisions of the new legal act are:
– Extension of the applicability period for the gross minimum basic wage guaranteed in payment (3,000 lei) until December 31, 2028;
– Expansion of the scope of activities for which the payment of the gross minimum basic wage (3,000 lei) is mandatory and for which fiscal benefits are granted;
– Granting of fiscal benefits only if at least 80% of the total turnover is generated from activities related to the construction sector according to the CAEN codes.
The fiscal benefits will apply to amounts earned from a gross monthly income of up to 30,000 lei.
